Schools OUT for Summer!

The kids had thier last day of school today. It was a short day so Morgan got to ride her bike with the big kids. She thought that was pretty cool. Can you believe it's SUMMER?

We're Off!

I thought I would post this blog so that no one would get mad at me for not blogging for the next couple of weeks. We are off to Cali! Don't do too many fun things without us :), and baby Jane don't get too big before we can see you again!

Dance Festival & Field Day

Today was the kids Dance Festival and Field Day at the school. It was a blast! I remember the last couple days of school just being a PARTY! In the video it's hard to see the kids, but you get the idea :)

Hero

Brian showed this to me last night. I thought it was so awesome! You will have to pause the music to watch it.

Tooth Fairy

Morgan made sure to take a picture of herself so that I could blog about her loosing another tooth. You can't really tell from the picture but as she was eating her lunch Monday, she yelled "Mom, Mom"
me: "what happened?"
Morgan: "I just lost another tooth when I bit my sandwich"
She was so excited! It's a good thing the tooth fairy remembered to come, it was a very busy day with Justin's birthday :)

"Climb Rocking"

For Justin's birthday we took him rock climbing or as Kaden would say "Climb Rocking" The kids seemed to have a good time and so did Morgan and Kaden. Thanks to Lindsey for taking all the pictures and helping out at the party.

Milestones...

We had a couple of big milestones this week (well big to me anyways) Justin's wolf badge and.... Morgan had her Kindergarden program Friday. I can't believe that she is graduating from Kindergarden. It just seems like yesterday that I posted about her graduating from pre-school. Who pushed the fast forward button on my life? Sorry if this is too long, I had to let the grandparents see the show.

Scouts

Thursday night Justin earned his Wolf badge, and just in time for his birthday! Good Job Justin, we are so proud of you!

Go Britty!

Last week I got the opportunity to go and watch Brittany in the state golf tournament in Austin Texas. It was really fun to be with the family and to experience this with her. I am so proud of my baby sister. Out of 6 kids, she is the only one to have made it to a state tournament, and the only one to continue on and play in college. After a tough first day and a brilliant 2nd day of golf her team ended up taking 4th in the state (I think?). I will never forget the bonding we experienced as sisters. It really meant so much to me. Brittany you are so awesome! We are so excited for you to be in Utah with us (maybe it will light a little fire under Mom and Dad). Thanks Mom and Dad for helping me to get out there and of course a big thanks to my wonderful husband who held down the fort while I was gone. I have to brag a little on him, I came home late Friday night to a clean house with all the kids in bed, a mother's dream. I love you, and thanks for supporting me in something I wanted to do.

Everyone getting ready to watch Brittany tee off the first day.

It was really cool to hear her name called just before she teed off! I know it's a surprise to all of you that I got a little teary eyed.

I think this is my favorite picture of Brittany. So cute!

All the flags at the course where Texas state flags! Something only a Texan would appreciate!

Retiring the Flag!

On Sunday we had a flag ceremony for our neighbor who has just returned home from Iraq. It's was a really neat experience to see the scouts participate in and of course great for all patriots! For those who are not familiar with this story when our neighbor left last year for Iraq we had a flag ceremony for him. We raised, and flew a flag as well as the yellow flag the entire time he was gone. Now that he is home, both flags are retired. The United States flag goes to the Marine and the yellow flag goes to his wife. Justin was chosen to give the yellow flag to his wife.

Chris (the Marine) briefly talked of his experience there in Iraq and told us how much evil he saw there, and just coming home to the United States again how many good things are happening here. It just makes you really appreciate what a wonderful country we live in, and how lucky we are to be here and enjoying the freedom that we have.

Jr. Olympics

Justin had a chance to participate in a shoot off for the Jr. Olympics this morning. He did really well beating everyone there that we were able to see before leaving for his last soccer game GO JUSTIN!

The End of Spring Soccer

Here are a couple of pictures of Justin's last few soccer games. It was a ruff end to a really good season, loosing all 3 of their tournament games. Oh well maybe next year. Although they lost their last game, they did play the #1 ranked team (which they have played before and been blown out) and shut them out for a half with the end score 4-1.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Can you believe it? Well you better! Yes all you Texans enjoying your sunny day this is what we woke up to Thursday morning. Don't get me wrong I know we live in the desert and we need moisture, but come on it's May already!!! Luckily the rest of the week is suppose to get better! Keep your fingers crossed.
