Day at the Pool

Yesterday we took the kids to the Scera Pool in Orem. The kids had a blast and were definitely worn out by the time we got home. It was fun to have Jacquelyn and Josh there to play with the kids too. They loved it!

The House

Most of you know by now that we have decided not to move into the new house that we were building. Brian and I thought about it for a long time and once we decided to stay it just felt good! I only thought it was fair to give an update on the progress of the house since I last posted about it.
Really I just needed another post to try and keep up with David and Jenny:)

The Weekend

This past weekend was a lot of fun!Brian had his first 48 hour shift at the station so we had to make it filled with lots to do. I started out Saturday morning with an 8 mile run. I think that is the longest I have ever run at one time:) Then we went to Veterans Pool in Provo to celebrated Josh's birthday(you will have to look at Josh and Jacquelyn's blog for pictures because I forgot my camera). My kids had a blast! Every year we start going to the pool again on of my kids gets this fear of going down the slides, so of course I have to take them down anyways. Jacquelyn took Kaden for me so that I could take Morgan, but before I could grab her she started hysterically crying because she didn't want to go and started running around the
entire pool, which was not small by the way(Jacquelyn and Josh said it was pretty funny to watch from above as they were standing in line). I only wish I had that on film. Anyways I eventually caught up to her and took her on the slide and of course she loved it.

Later that night we met Brian up at Kohler's (the grocery store) where the fire department was handing out flyers for our "pay it forward" which is on Saturday. Needless to say I was exhausted when we got home!

Pack Meeting

Thursday night was Justin's first pack meeting, and first time to recieve any patches so we all went including Brittany and Jacquelyn. The cubs were in charge of the flag ceremony and Justin was the "caller" He looked so cute and grown up. He was also "branded into the troop" (They stamped CUBS in big letters across his forehead) I can't believe that I have a scout :) YIKES! Were does the time go?

Golfing with Britty

We took a trip to the golf store yesterday and of course Kaden had to golf like Brittany.

P.S. Do you like my old school music? :)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Saturday was a crazy day for us. We spent most of the day
getting stuff done for our Pay it Forward, which has completely taken
off. If you don't have anything going on Sat. June 30th we would love
to have you be there. It will be a fun day for the whole family! One of
our adventures yesterday was to get some things signed by Dale Murphy.
Justin thought it was pretty cool.

John and Emma came over the other night and
Morgan thought it would be fun to dress up Christopher in one of her
dress-up dresses. I know one thing John and Emma will have cute girls!!!

Summertime

I love summertime! This summer has been crazy already. I bought a little pool thinking it would be fun for Kaden, but all the kids seemed to like it too. This morning they were up at the crack of dawn with their swimsuits on and ready to go. All I had to do was watch them from inside the house.

Baseball

Justin had another baseball game Thursday night. What a beautiful night to have a ball game. Justin had 3 hits, one of them being a GRAND SLAM!!! After the game John hit fly balls out in the field for the kids to try and catch and then had a private practice for Justin.

Just one of the boys

Justin was a good big brother and let Kaden come outside with him yesterday and play a little street hockey. I watched them for a little while and noticed that Kaden was not intimidated at all. I guess he just thinks that he is one of the boys.

I love summertime and it is officially here! Here are just a couple of pictures that I have taken over the last couple of days.
Justin has become a great babysitter, Morgan is already trying out new beauty secrets and Kaden well we tried to potty train this week and it didn't really go so well. He sure liked wearing his Spiderman "panties" (But I have now been told by David they are to be called undies, but that is what Kaden calls them. Can you tell he has a sister?) until it was time to go potty all the time. Oh well I guess we will try again in a couple of weeks.

Leftovers

I realized as I was downloading more pictures this morning that I left out a couple of good pictures from last weekend. There is one picture that I didn't get. It was of Mom when she was driving Orange Crush going to John and Emma's house, when she turned the corner the passenger door flew open. It was so funny and I only wish that I got that one on film. I guess Dad's guitar dancing will just have to do :) CLASSIC

Man Stranded

So yesterday when Brian would normally be home from a shift and hadn't gotten in yet I started to get a little concerned. I tried calling his phone, which of course he didn't answer. The only thing that I could do was just wait. I figured since it was nasty outside yesterday that there was probably a wreck that he was called out to or something like that. Come to find out there was something that they were called out to, but it wasn't a wreck. Some hiker was lost up American Fork Canyon. Brian was there for the first part of the rescue, but it took Search and Rescue along with Lone Peak Fire Dept all day, and I mean all day to get this hiker down. No one knew how on earth this guy got to were he was on the mountain. Anyways it made the news last night and I thought it would be cool, especially since you see the ambulance that Brian was driving earlier that morning, to see it on t.v.

New Arrival

Well there is a new baby boy Hodson. We got a call about 8:00 Monday morning telling us that he was here. Brian and I took the kids to the hospital to see him. He looks just like a mini-Baker. What a cutie! He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz, and they have named him Cooper Brett Hodson. From what I hear Baker really likes this new addition.

Justin's Baptism

Well I can't believe that it has come and gone. We had a great time with everyone this weekend for Justin's baptism. I didn't think that I would ever be old enough to have a child hit this milestone. We had lots of family fly in from Texas to be there for this special day. We even had Jacquelyn and Josh surprise us and be there (Josh's sister got married just the day before, so they weren't expected to be there. Thanks guys!) Thanks to all that helped with the dinner and getting the house ready and a big thanks to all of those who flew in for the baptism. That was really special to have each one of you there and I know that Justin felt very special Saturday.

Krazy Kaden

Kaden was outside with the kids the other day and I
peeked outside to check on him. I laughed so hard when I saw him. I
thought you might get a laugh too! He reminded me of a midget Paul
Revere.
