Our visit to Texas!

Last week the kids and I took a trip to Texas for a week to see Grammy and Papa. We had such a great time spending some one on one time with them. We did tons of fun stuff while we were there. And of course we burned the candle at both ends to get all the time we could in. All the kids talk about now is when we are going to go back. Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun week! We loved every minute.

Here's the low down on some of the things we did.....

Of course tons of swimming! In fact Kaden learned to swim all by himself while we were there.

And night swimming. The kids were so funny with their goggles and snorkels.

This picture was taken on the first take, we tried to recreate it again, but none of the pictures turned out as good as this one!

What visit to Texas is complete without a trip to Shipley's ... the best donuts EVER!!!
YUMMY! I think I gained at least 10 pounds just from Shipley's

Astro's Game!
Kaden just woke up, can you tell?

They made it on the jumbo tron

Friday night fireworks, and even an exciting win in the bottom of the 9th inning

Galveston (a.k.a. The Beach in Texas). It doesn't look pretty, but it's so warm the kids didn't want to get out of the water.

Papa and Justin riding the waves

Kaden and Grammy watching the kids play.

Building a sand castle

Sand war!!!

Morgan buried in the sand

More swimming

I think Dad killed like 50 wasps while we were there.

Allen's

Some childhood family friends of Brian came through Utah and we were able to meet up with them at the park. It's fun to hear all the boys talk about different memories they had growing up.

(Sorry Wendy this took so long I was out of town with the kids)

I got some really cute pictures of Kohen eating a chocolate chip cookie YUMMY!

Fun Visitors

I was able to have one of my best friends that I grew up with, Melanie, come with her family this past week to visit. I love that when we see each other we just pick right up where we left off. We had such a fun time hanging out, and as always it was TOO SHORT!

(Lynnie aren't you glad I am in this picture)

We started out by having dining with one of our roommates, Heather, and her family. The kids were instant friends. (we always knew they would be)

Especially these too. They were inseparable from the beginning

And of course what trip to visit the Hodson's doesn't end at the fire station at some point.

The boys in the big truck

Melanie and I have a picture exactly like this one when we were about the same age. Funny how time change.

Thanks for coming to visit Rossi's. We loved having you!

Cedar Hills Days Parade

Every year my kids get to be in the Cedar Hills Days Parade and get to ride in the fire truck. They love it!! It's something they look forward to every year.

We also happen to know the guys who MC's the parade and this year I was able to hear him say "I see some Hodson's in there, where's Justin?" (He just happens to be one of Justin's friends' dad. ) Needless to say Justin thought that was pretty cool.
