Basketball game
Kids are so funny!
No matter how mad you are at your kids or how much they drive you nuts, you can be sure to catch them in a funny act at least once a day. I think Heavenly Father made it that way on purpose.
I think I just witnessed the funniest thing. Morgan and Kaden were playing hide-n-seek tag tonight and I just happened to come out into the kitchen to see them for a second. It must have been Kaden's turn to hide, Morgan was counting on the stairs and Kaden was hiding behind that black buffet thing in my kitchen. When Morgan finished counting she came right into the middle of the kitchen, laid out a hand full of goldfish and then ran away. Sure enough the trap worked and Kaden came bolting out of his hiding place to eat from them trap, and of course she caught him.
I had to laugh to myself. We don't really need a dog, we have Kaden to do all of our tricks for food :)

Going to see Ja Ja
The kids had an appointment today to get thier teeth cleaned with Jacquelyn. Who knew that going to get your teeth cleaned would be so much fun. They definately got the "red capet" treatment (like she would give them anything else). We had so much fun just laughing at all the funny comments and actions that the kids made. The office was probably glad to see us leave, we had way too much fun!!!! Thanks again Jacquelyn!
Justin had a few extra helpers
Kaden getting his teeth cleaned for the first time
The "diva" getting her teeth cleaned
Kaden was a little unsure about this trip to get his teeth cleaned so it's really funny to hear what he says, especially when you ask him what kind of flouride he is getting (Bamana Split)

Lost Countdown
Breakfast anyone??

Look who joined us for breakfast this morning!! Kaden is really into dressing up these days, it must be the age... right Jackson??? Most of the time he is Nacho, but the past couple of days he has chosen hisSpiderman costume to wear around the house. He likes it because his muscles are "HUGE".
Speaking of breakfast, this morning I made some wheat pancakes for the first
time this morning. I got the recipe from my sister-in-law, April. They were actually
really good and that means a lot coming from someone who only likes Bisquick! They even got the stamp of approval from my kids. Here is the recipe, if you want to try it out.
2 cups wheat flour (I did half white/wheat)
1 Tbs sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2 cup oil
2 cups milk
Whisk all ingredients together, then cook. Delicious!!!

Snow, snow and more snow
It seems like for the past couple of weeks that is all we have seen. Although it is beautiful, it comes with the cold, which I will not be sad to see go. For the past couple of days we have accumulated quite the snow pack. The kids took advantage of our mini hill in ourfront yard today and got some sledding in.

It's Business Time
Have you ever seen the "Flight of the Conchords" on YouTube? If not you need to watch it! Kaden loves that song and anytime he has a microphone or musical instrument he sings it. He finally let me tape him singing!
Here is another time we caught him

Happy New Year!
I know I am a little late to post this, but better late than never right? We followed our family tradition by eating out New Year's Eve at Benihanna's. I love that place and look forward to it every year! The kids really liked it this year although they were really close to not going with us. Well at least that is what we threatened. After stuffing ourselves, Jacquelyn & Josh came with us back to our house, where we rang in the New Year watching the ball drop and of course bubbly! As for resolutions... I think there are too many to name, but I hope to accomplish them all (positive thinking). Happy New Year to everyone!
Watching the entertainment.
Kaden wanted this picture taken, but I really like looking at John's face!
Another good one of John! and Emma too isn't she cute!
